Purpose of the position: 

The Office Manager - Brisbane is responsible for regional operational coordination, liaison and management of the ACC's activities in Brisbane.

It requires exceptional management ability, experience in an investigative environment and the ability to deliver intelligence outcomes.

Key objectives of the position: 

This role is responsibilities for managing a range of operations, commensurate with the operational and strategic needs of the ACC and partner agencies, including:

  • Plan for and effectively manage resources, including financial resources;
  • Develop strategies to attain operational goals including the best use of the ACC’s capabilities, resources and powers;
  • Develop and prioritise work, set and implement specific operational goals and measure accomplishments against those goals; and
  • Accept a high level of personal responsibility for the achievement of operational & project goals;
  • Lead and coordinate the activities of operational/multi-disciplinary teams, to achieve intelligence based, proceeds of crime and/or prosecution outcomes;
  • Provide leadership, support and development to operational staff. Coordinate Performance Development Scheme (PDS) arrangements for subordinate staff;
  • Ensure that strategic and operational intelligence collection is optimised through investigative activity and disseminated to other relevant areas of the ACC and to partner agencies as appropriate;
  • Provide oral and written advice to senior management on significant operational, policy or legal issues;
  • Develop and maintain cooperative working relationships at senior levels with partner agencies, other government agencies and private industry;
  • Represent the ACC at interdepartmental committees or public forums and contribute to relevant inter-agency projects;
  • Develop, implement and ensure compliance with policy, procedures and the law;
  • Contribute to national policy formulation and coordinate planning as appropriate;
  • Contribute to the ACC’s ability to influence law reform and reform of administrative practices as appropriate;
  • Manage allocated budgets and monitor expenditure efficiently;
  • Undertake assigned corporate management functions within ACC office’s and/or work closely with ACC corporate managers as appropriate;
  • Be willing to undertake interstate travel if required
