Interested in a career with the ACC?

People join the ACC either through a general recruitment activity, as particular jobs become available or by way of secondment from another government agency or state police force. From time to time the ACC uses contractor staff for highly specialist and/or urgent staffing requirements.

Eligibility

To be eligible to work with us you must:

  • be an Australian citizen
  • be willing to undergo a medical examination if applicable
  • undertake a security assessment to the requisite standard
  • have completed the ‘redundancy benefit period’ if you received a redundancy benefit from an Australian Public Service (APS) agency or a non-APS Commonwealth employer. (Effective 1 March 2009, the period of exclusion from engagement or ‘redundancy benefit period’ will now be linked to the level of the redundancy benefit received by an individual. The ‘redundancy benefit period’ is to be calculated by dividing the amount of the person’s redundancy benefit (gross amount in dollars) by the person’s weekly salary that was used to calculate the benefit.)
